Social Media - Content Creation Contractor

Ranch House Designs is seeking candidates for a social media contractor. Preference will be given to applicants who can work out of our Wharton, Texas headquarters at least 3 days a week. Remote applicants considered.

SALARY:

  • $14 per hour, approximately 20 hours a week. Time is based on Toggl time reporting.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the social media for Ranch House Designs including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram. 
  • Create regularly scheduled content for approximately 10 social media clients including ranches, ag-businesses, associations, health care businesses, and more. 
  • Conduct monthly or weekly calls with social media clients to gather their main ideas for posts, then take their direction to write and create content calendars. 
  • Responsible for designing or creating concepts for social media graphics including Facebook cover photos and or social media graphics. 
  • Write blogs for RHD and clients  

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent writing skills
  • Up to date knowledge of social media platforms, with a focus on Facebook business pages, Facebook advertising, and Instagram.  
  • Knowledge of Pinterest, Snapchat and YouTube a bonus. 
  • Knowledge of social media trends, hashtags, and how to grow social media followings
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and execute multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting regular deadlines.
  • Comfortable with applicable computer software specifically email, web browsers and spreadsheets. 
  • Photoshop, Wordpress, Infusionsoft or Basecamp experience is a plus. 
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Must be reliable, dependable and a self-starter. A positive attitude is a must.
  • Willingness to take initiative and ownership in projects is essential.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    • High school diploma
    • Must have at least two years of practical experience using social media through education, internships or employment.
    • An agricultural background is preferred, but not required.
