At Ranch House Designs, a popular question we hear all the time is “Why is my website not showing up in Google?" For new websites, Google may not have had a chance to index it yet. Be patient, as this can take up to 6 months.

• We ask Google to crawl your website when it is launched, but you can also request a crawl here: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/submit-url

• This is good practice when you've recently added or made changes to a page on your site, you can request that Google re-index your page

• It will also help if you add the website description and the website link into your email signature.

• Another thing to help is to make sure that the website pages have enough text on them. The minimum recommendation is at least 300 words per page, and these should include descriptive phrases about your business (history, location, services), as well as key phrases that you think customers may type in their search bar to find your website.
