Ag Themed Kids Christmas Gifts

With Christmas just around the corner, as a mom, I can’t help but notice a few items online and on my local Wal-Mart and Target shelves that I’m thinking would be great gifts for my two children (ages 6 and 2). One thing I really noticed is that this year there seems to be a lot of items that focus on animal care, farming or ranching – which is awesome! So here are over 25 ag themed Christmas gifts all available on Amazon where you can get that Prime shipping on many of the items!

So, I’ve been snapping pics from my phone of some of my favorites and created this gift list of ideas with a agricultural theme!

Barbie Dream Horse & Doll

This one is available at Wal-Mart, Amazon, and several other stores and is a little on the price-y side, at over $75. However, I thought it was so cute I had to at least include it.

If your daughter is into Barbie’s, but you’re looking for a more affordable option, the Barbie Farm Vet Doll & Playset is a great choice too.

And our last Barbie suggestion, the Barbie Farmer Doll – which was an item that was out of stock for quite a while but now is back in stock. I am so glad that Barbie has put a focus on sharing women in agriculture careers!

Fischer Price also always does a tremendous job of crafting farm-themed toys for all ages. For the younger kids, every farm kid needs a Fisher-Price Little People Farm Playset. Here’s the latest model they’ve developed and it’s a little more modern in design but still cute.

If you like the older style of the Little People Farm, you’ll want to go to Amazon and purchase this one:

If these farm sets are a little too basic for you, Fisher Price also has some cool more “urban farming” activities like this Fisher-Price Little People Growing Garden and Farm Stand Playset. I think this one would be a cool addition to have side by side with your barn.

Any Lego fans? For your little Lego fan, check out the  LEGO DUPLO My First Farm 10617 Learning Toy for Toddlers, which is a great choice for little builders.

Choices for older Lego fans are a little bit more limited, but there is this LEGO City Set 7684 Pig Farm & Tractor – although I could only find 2 available on Amazon.

If your child likes Playmobil, then the PLAYMOBIL Pony Farm is a must!

Also from Playmobil, Playmobil Large Farm and PLAYMOBIL Take Along Horse Stable are great choices at a variety of price points.

For the young readers out there, of course we have to recommend the Sarah The Showman series, which currently contains 8 books designed for young readers that talk about the livestock show life as well as teach some important life lessons!

Older kids would totally like the Ranch House Designs My Show Book: 2018 Planner (Blue/Black) Boys Edition and My Show Book: 2018 Planner (Tribal Print) Girls Edition – both available exclusively through Amazon.

Supposedly the FurReal Roarin’ Tyler, the Playful Tiger is set to be one of the hottest Christmas gifts of 2017, but I actually prefer their  Butterscotch, Pony Pet, which is half the price of the tiger and totally cute. And, I have to admit, when Mollie wanted the FurReal Unicorn last year, I was searching high and low for that creature so I am thinking I might already go ahead and get one of these so I’m not having to drive all over south Texas at the last minute looking for one of these this year!

If you’re not necessarily into “farm theme” gifts, but just looking for some cool items that are set to be really hot this year, here are some ideas:

We like this  Melissa & Doug Wooden Stamp Activity Set: Horse Stable – 10 Stamps, 5 Colored Pencils, 2-Color Stamp Pad – and the best part it’s under $10!

And, we would probably be remiss if we didn’t include something from Breyer and Schleich farm animal sets. Although I hate to say, we applied to partner with Schleich for Ag Kids Club and they rejected us! No ill will though lol!

The Schleich North America Schleich Stable with Horses & Accessories Toy is super nice but also a little on the expensive side.

There are so many Schleich items to choose from, here are just a few:

If you haven’t got the Breyer Classics Bella 2017 Horse of the Year Toy, this would be a good choice:

If your child dreams of being a cattle trucker, then the Country Life – Kenworth Livestock Tractor Trailer with 10 Head of Cattle – 1:43 scale is a great choice for them! I mean, who doesn’t want to pretend like they’re a little hot shotter by day! These are in limited quantity on Amazon though, so order now if you’re thinking of it.

And, for kids of all ages – we want to invite you to look at our latest project – Ag Kids Club! This is a monthly subscription that’s kinda like a Stitch Fix for kids – except it’s all ag related and it’s based on eductional information to teach kids about ag. Each month the kids get a educational box like the one pictured below that has a fun gift item, 4 or more educational activities, stickers, and a letter from their ag “pen pals.” The subscriptions are available in 3,6,9 and 12 month packages that run about $14.95 per month.

We hope you enjoy these suggestions – and we wish you ALL a Merry Christmas!
