The American Dexter Cattle Association was established in 1957. Since the beginning, the ADCA is in charge of preserving Dexter cattle and keeping a record of their pedigrees. Likewise, Dexter cattle have steadily increased in popularity through the years. Despite changes within the association throughout the years, it has remained strong. Today, the ADCA membership continues to stay above 1,000 with the population of American Dexter cattle continuing to prosper in the agricultural community.
