BRC’s passion for Brahman cattle goes far beyond the show ring and this summer, that passion took a new form with the launch of Brahman Buddies, an exciting new outreach program designed to connect kids with agriculture in a fun and hands-on way. The very first Brahman Buddies meeting was held in collaboration with the Boys and Girls Club, and it was an unforgettable kickoff filled with smiles, learning, and plenty of Brahman pride!

The event welcomed enthusiastic participants from the Boys and Girls Club, who got an up-close introduction to the Brahman breed and the world of cattle ranching. The session was thoughtfully planned to combine education with interactive fun, and the young attendees were all in from the start.

To break the ice, the kids dove into a lively game of Brahman-themed bingo, where they learned key cattle terms and breed facts as they played. From there, the group moved into an educational segment where they discovered what makes Brahmans so special including their heat tolerance, gentle nature, and iconic hump.

But the learning didn’t stop there. With crafts and creativity in full swing, each child made their very own Brahman cow using art supplies and their imagination. It was a perfect blend of agriculture and art and a chance for each kid to take home a special reminder of the day.

The highlight? Seeing the kids’ faces light up as they connected with something new. For many, it was their first time learning about cattle. For us at BRC, it was a powerful reminder of why we love what we do and why it matters to share it.

The Brahman Buddies program is just getting started, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead. Our goal is simple: to inspire the next generation, one Brahman Buddy at a time.

Stay tuned for more meetings, more smiles, and more moments that make a difference. The future is bright and it’s Brahman strong!
