The Brahman breed is taking center stage this summer at BRC’s Brahman Buddies, a free educational series designed for kids ages 3 to 12. Hosted in collaboration with The Brahman Museum and BRC Ranch, the three-part series aims to educate young minds about agriculture and the role of Brahman cattle in a fun, hands-on environment.

The program launches June 16 and continues through July 10, with each session offering a different theme tied to cattle, ranching, and food production. From games and crafts to real ranch visits, Brahman Buddies offers a unique opportunity for children to learn while having a blast.

The first session kicks off with an exploration into the Brahman breed. Kids will enjoy games, crafts, and age-appropriate lessons that answer the question: What is a Brahman? Designed to be both educational and fun, this session lays the foundation for understanding why the Brahman is one of the most important cattle breeds in the world.

The second installment takes a deeper dive into agriculture with a focus on food production. Young participants will learn how Brahman cattle help feed the world from the pasture all the way to the plate. Through fun activities and educational discussions, this session helps children connect their everyday meals to the hard work that happens on the ranch.

The series concludes with an unforgettable experience at BRC Ranch. Kids will meet Brahman cattle up close, tour a working cattle operation, and take part in ranch-themed games and tasks. This session is family-friendly, with parents encouraged to attend and experience a day in the life of a rancher alongside their child.

What makes Brahman Buddies even better? It’s completely free to attend. Designed as an outreach initiative to promote the Brahman breed and the cattle industry, the program emphasizes education, fun, and community involvement.

Registration is easy just visit BRC’s Facebook page and use the link attached to the Brahman Buddies post. Space is limited, so early sign-ups are encouraged.

Whether your child is already interested in animals or just curious about where their food comes from, Brahman Buddies promises to make this summer both memorable and meaningful.
