Curtin Land and Cattle is operates both a farm and ranch venture in Christian County, Illinois. They maintain a top herd of 200+ registered Angus cattle as well as raise corn and soybean. Like many, they got their start due to 4-H. In 1936, Lawrence Curtin purchased some Angus heifers for his son’s 4-H projects. Over the years the family has been very active in the Angus breed, and they believe in serving the Angus Association. John is a past president of Illinois Angus Association and American Angus Board of director. Fred served as Illinois Angus president in 1997 and most recently T.J. serving as President in 2011. The Curtin family holds an annual production sale the second Friday in March. They strive to produce calving ease bulls for commercial cattlemen without sacrificing growth and eye appeal. Curtin females excel for function and balance while maintaining industry relevant pedigrees and EPD’S.
ABOUT THIS DESIGN
Ranch House has had the honor of working with the folks at Curtin Land & Cattle since 2012, when we originally designed a website for them to promote their Angus operation. At that time, we designed a great html website for this top Angus operation. In 2016, they decided to upgrade their html website into a WordPress website, which is 100% mobile responsive and with a custom design. The Curtin’s really liked the overall look of their old website, but knew they needed to move to a mobile responsive platform since most viewers today are accessing websites via their phones or devices. For this look, we maintained the overall colors, feel and theme as their current company branding, just upgraded to the new features of a WordPress site.
