Rachel Cutrer was honored to share her marketing expertise at the 2025 Southeast Texas Urban Ag and Farm Safety Conference in Houston, Texas. This event is hosted by Texas AgriLife Extension and took place at the George H.W. Bush Community Center.

This event brought together new and experienced landowners, farmers, ranchers, agricultural professionals, community leaders, stakeholders and safety experts from across Southeast Texas to gain valuable knowledge and access resources related to agriculture and farm safety.

The conference featured hands-on demonstrations, educational sessions, networking opportunities and an interactive trade show featuring more than 40 agriculture industry vendors.

Rachel Cutrer served as the speaker of the Farm to Fork session, where she discussed a step by step guide to starting a direct to consumer beef operation.

Other topics at the conference included New World Screwworm, agricultural exemptions and agricultural loans, horse forage and nutrition management; backyard poultry in an urban setting, urban and community gardens, and more.

“Whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience, this was a great opportunity to connect, learn and grow together in an urban setting,” said Steven Frederick, AgriLife Extension agriculture and natural resources agent for Harris County.
