the Cory Cross Foundation

The story behind this website will bring tears to your eyes, and we are proud to be the creator of such a bright, colorful and outstanding foundation website. Please check out the Cory Cross Foundation, one started after the untimely death of a young cancer fighter. Cory Cross was diagnosed with an extremely rare and aggressive form of brain cancer a few days short of his 1st birthday.

He launched an amazing fight, enduring treatment after treatment, to become cancer free by the two year mark. He was only given a 10 percent survival rate! This happiness only lasted a few short weeks, as the cancer came back full-force. On July 28, 2007 Cory left his beloved family to go to Heaven.

In the time since his passing, his family created the Cory Cross Foundation to raise money to give financial and mental support to families enduring the same fight. It is a 501(c)3, non-profit group that hosts annual bike cruises, bowling events and breakfast with Santa. This years Cory’s Crewz for a Cure is scheduled for Sept. 14, 2013. The details, as they take shape, will be put up on their website, www.corycrossfoundation.com.

People from all aspects of life, from the showbarn to the meeting rooms, have donated money to support this foundations endeavours and their motto: Compassion, Support, Inspiration. The money has gone to… Scholarships for adolescent cancer survivors planning to attend college.

  • Purchase of a motorized wheel chair & accessories for an adolescent who requires assistance to maintain “normal” childhood activities after cancer therapy.
  • Support for St. Baldrick’s, an organization instrumental in providing research grants to those working tirelessly to find a cure for childhood cancer.
  • Providing financial assistance to families in the form of mortgage, rent and car payments in addition to heating electric bills, or even gift cards for food and gas.
  • Supporting local 4-H members by purchasing animals in the livestock auction.
  • Proud Sponsor of other organizations whose mission we believe in: The Emily Yott Foundation, Brandon Couch Memorial Scholarship & Jackson’s Journey
