I believe a good herd bull should:

• Stay on his side of the fence.
• Turn heads as my neighbors drive by.
• Breed 90% of his cows every time.
• Last me at least 5 breeding seasons.
• Pay for himself in 5 daughters.
• Sire a son better than he is.
