Thank you for your interest in working with Ranch House Designs.

Typically we like to start every new client relationship with a phone call. Our founder and CEO, Rachel Cutrer, usually handles these phone calls so we can get a feel for what your are looking for and we can build a personal contact.

We realize some potential clients may need a project sooner than when Rachel has an opening for a call.

So, we have put together this little list of how our process works, and some common questions. This way, if you know you’re ready to get started now, we can get started right away!

If you’re interested in a logo design project…..

  • We have two standard packages, a Silver logo design and a Gold logo design. See examples.
  • The silver package is $500 and it includes our team creating 3 unique concepts, and you choose 1.
  • The gold package is $800 and it includes our team creating 10-12 unique concepts, and you choose 3.
  • The gold package is more like a “branding suite.” It includes your main primary logo and then 2 additional concepts.
  • If you are wanting any type of custom illustration, like your favorite bull drawn and made into your logo, you will need the gold package.
  • To get started on either package, we do a 50% deposit. The remaining 50% is due when you approve the logo. So a Silver package deposit is $250 to get started, and gold is $400 to get started.
  • The first step in booking is to fill out our new client agreement.
  • Once you fill that form out, our team goes into action. Within 1-2 days you will get an email invoice which you can pay for your deposit.
  • Before we can begin designing, we send you a web-based questionnaire. This is going to ask you things like if you have certain colors, what style you like, etc. This helps our designer get a good feel for your style so we can deliver a great logo that meets your expectations.
  • Once you fill out the new client form, pay your deposit, and complete the questionnaire – you will receive your first round of concept proofs in about 5 business days or less.
  • When you approve the logo and pay the remaining deposit, we will send you a brand style guide which outlines the logo colors, font names, and provides the logos in an Adobe Illustrator file, JPG, PNG, and PDF format.

If you’re interested in a website design project…..

Since most websites are very custom and unique to each client we do still like to have those introductory calls so we can understand any special needs or functionality you may need on the site. Our website designs are usually all bid on a custom basis for each client.

However, we do have 2 basic packages that tend to work a lot for ranchers or businesses that are just wanting a site with text and photos and don’t need any custom programming or custom features.

  • Our website pricing is based on the number of pages you need on your site.
  • Our Package A website includes a home page plus 4 additional pages. The design fee for this is $1000 setup, and $900 per year for web hosting and unlimited updates. If you’re a rancher, for example your pages could be Home, About Us, Cattle for Sale, Sires, Donors. This is a very common package. See Examples.
  • Our Package B website includes a home page plus 9 additional pages. The design fee for this is $1500 setup, and $900 per year for web hosting and unlimited updates.
  • The Package B website is more graphically advanced. It has features like movement on the home page (text fading in, counters, etc). It also includes photo bands where a nice scenic photo fills the entire screen. See Examples.
  • If you need any custom features, we will have to quote that based on the project needs. Examples of custom features are calendars, dealer locators, online stores, etc.
  • To get started on either package, we do a 50% deposit. The remaining 50% is due when you before the website launches.
  • Once the website launches, you begin paying your $900 annual fee. You can pay this up front for 1 year at $900 – or you can pay quarterly at $300 per quarter. So basically if you pay for the full year, you save $300.
  • The first step in booking is to fill out our new client agreement.
  • Once you fill that form out, our team goes into action. Within 1-2 days you will get an email invoice which you can pay for your deposit.
  • Before we can begin designing, we send you a web-based questionnaire. This is going to ask you things like if you have certain colors, what style you like, etc. We also need a list of your page names to begin. If you are also doing a logo with us, we will complete the logo first, then do the website.
  • Once you fill out the new client form, pay your deposit, and complete the questionnaire – you will receive your first round of concept proofs in about 10 business days or less.
  • We register the domain name for you as part of the cost of the design. If you already have registered a name, we can transfer it to us for hosting purposes.
  • We offer unlimited updates to the text and photos on the website once it launches.
  • You can always add more pages to the site at any time.
  • Our sites are built in WordPress. If your team would like access to make updates to the site, we can set you up with an editor login to do that.
  • The turnaround time for most websites start to finish is usually 1-2 months. A lot of this relies on the client and how fast they can get us photos, captions, etc.
