If you’re a fan of Cross Canadian Ragweed (and let’s face it, who isn’t in the stock show world?), you probably saw the recent stir on social media when they simply changed their profile picture after nearly a decade of silence.
Just that small move sent fans like me into a frenzy of excitement, proving one thing: loyalty runs deep.
Personally, I went from somewhat despising Cody Canada as an individual artist to listening to his voice for a day straight now. (I’m refreshing myself in case there’s a comeback.)
I sent a text to a close friend earlier this morning and I said:
“Hear me out….National Western brings in CCR for an exhibitor concert in 2025 and regains their position as the #1 livestock show in history — OR, Cattleman’s Congress honors their red dirt roots and brings in CCR for that same concert and takes out the National Western forever.”
And I could go on and on about all the “middle age folks” like me who are literally just in an uproar about what could be next — all because they simply changed the profile picture on a Facebook page that’s been dormant since 2011.
So what can we learn from Cross Canadian Ragweek this week?
- Power of Consistency: Even after years of no activity, CCR’s brand still holds strong because of the connection they built with their fans. When you establish a strong, authentic presence—whether it’s through your logo, messaging, or the work you do—it sticks. People remember!
- Social Media is Your Stage: One small update can lead to big reactions. Whether it’s refreshing your website, tweaking your social media, or simply staying active online, the ripple effects can be powerful. Just like CCR showed us, it’s not always about the quantity but the quality of interaction.
- Long-Term Relationships Matter: Fans stay loyal when they feel connected. That’s why at Ranch House Designs, we focus on helping you build not just a brand, but a community that lasts—because fans of your business can be as loyal as CCR’s fans are to them.
If it’s been a while since your last “profile picture change,” maybe it’s time for a little refresh. Let’s chat about how we can keep your brand in front of the people who matter—just like CCR did!
